Why does.....

Q: Why does my hair break off more around my face and hairline?

A: The reason people see more breakage around the face and hairline is because when we style our hair, that is where we put most of the focus. When we flat iron our hair, we make sure that around our face is straighter than anything else. Same with curling. Why is that? Its because that is what other people see! When we have a picture taken, if it is just a straight on shot the only part of the hair that is seen in the photo is what is around our faces.

Tips: Make sure the flat iron or curling iron you are using has a heat or temperature setting. If you are seeing breakage, then turn down the temp!! Also when flat ironing, keep the iron moving smoothly over the hair. Do not hold it in one spot or you will see lines and eventually more breakage. Remember to use a heat protector when using any heated styling tool! Matrix makes a great heat protector!!

Remember to email me or facebook me your questions and it will be featured on my Wednesday blog posts!
